D and I are making headway on the details of this whole nuptial extravaganza on 9/4. Whee!

I think we've found our reception/dinner site and that's a big item to cross off the list. I bought invitations last week. D's going to get prices on a party bus this week. Tomomrrow I'm hoping we will shop for rings and visit a bakery to check out cakes. We're going to church in the a.m.(if I can peel myself outta bed) to see the chapel and say hi to the pastor. We also signed up for an engaged encounter weekend next month and I bought the pattern for my dress. I've turned over the florist finding to my mom (she wanted something to do because she said I couldn't control everything; whatevah). I have a very clear idea of what I want to do for our announcements; now I just need to give it up to a graphic person to create (I'd like to do it myself, but I don't have the software to accomplish it). I do know two people who can do it; I just need to describe what I want and get their prices.

So there you go - our progress about six weeks out. Probably pretty pathetic, really, but it's better today than it was just yesterday.
