Honestly, I knew the proposal was coming. I mean, hell, I bought the ring. But he'd dropped some hints in the week prior to lead me to believe it wouldn't happen Valentine's weekend, which just made me think it would indeed happen then. He doesn't know that I wasn't suckered in to his ruse and I probably won't tell him until we're happily married for years and years. While I wish it could have all been a surprise, it was still wonderful.

Nothing has been planned yet at all. I'd like for the wedding to take place this year, but I'm so clueless. We've got to decide on the where and the when asap, then I feel the rest will fall into place.

I still haven't told everyone. It's so much more fun sharing the news in person (with the visual aid above) that I've held off telling those people I'm expecting to see soon. I'll see a large group of friends on Friday night, another couple on Saturday and three others for dinner some evening next week. And I've still got phone calls to make to some other out-of-town friends. Man, I need to get on the stick. I guess I've been slacking off staring at my ever so pretty ring. But can you blame me? It's sparkly!
