My plan for today was to stay snug as a bug at home, cooking up tasty sweet treats for the weekend while singing along to holiday music. Instead I went out erranding with D for about four hours as it snow, snow, snowed everywhere we went. The sweet treat making still happened (I made poor man's cookies and oatmeal cranberry cookies, with buckeyes on tap for tomorrow), just hours after originally planned. And sans the singing, now that I think about it.

Hey, did you notice I've completely given up on creating any cute and/or original journal entry titles during Holidalies and just gone with the day count? Yeah, I'm just that much of a dolt.

Yeah, My sister and brother-in-law are surprise house guests tonight. They were driving from their home in DC to my mom's house in NW Ohio and, when they hit Columbus, decided they'd gone far enough for the night. They'd had nothing but rain until they got within 30 miles of Columbus and started seeing white on the ground. I'm glad they stopped. It would have easily taken twice as long to get to Mom's from here. The freezing rain/sleet is continuing overnight and will kick back in to snow tomorrow (for another 4-8 inches!).

Alas, even after today's errands, I'm still not done with the present shopping. My brother just emailed me today with some ideas for him, so I'll probably trek out tomorrow to pick them up. Or maybe I'll talk D into trekking for me...
