The highlight of my Saturday - my whole weekend, actually - was meeting and spending a few hours with Tammie.

We found one another via the lovely Weetabix's holiday card exchange. We can't live more than a mile from one another, so we exchanged a few emails after Christmas and I started reading her journal. She's smart, funny and a wonderful writer, and meeting her in person proved she's all those thing AND beautiful, too. Now I think I may have to start hating her. Heh.

We had a great time chatting at Starbucks for a good two hours. I talked way too much about myself and surely bored her at least a smidge, but she was only gracious and delightful. She's a DIY-er, so I want to invite her over soon to pick paint colors for my downstairs rooms. I'm not very good with that sort of vision so I think I'll milk her expertise. Plus that'll be a good reason for me to clean the house.
