Foiled again 2005-12-07
So neither job prospect mentioned in my last entry - the one I really wanted and the law firm one - panned out. Friday afternoon, I got an email from the hiring manager I'd interviewed with for the first one who wrote, ""Although I am impressed with your background, I am unable to offer you the position of Market Manager at this time." And I never heard back from the placement agency about the law firm gig so they obviously found someone else to start this past Monday.

Good grief. What does it take to get a job in this city??

I'm trying to stay positive, but man, it sucks to be continually rejected, especially for a job you really want and know you'd be great at. The definite plus is that I have time off through the holidays to spend with family and friends. MoreHusband and I have even talked about going to Vegas January 2-5 like we did this year. It would be so fun, but I don't feel like we can afford to spend the funds in this way. I'd rather keep them in the bank right now because who knows how much longer this unemployment crap will go on.

In an effort to bring in even a little amount of money, I'm finally selling things on eBay (I've had multiple storage tubs labeled EBAY since I moved last year, but haven't done anything with them this whole time). Feel free to bid! I'll be adding more stuff later today.
