Exercise is good. Exercise is good. Exercise is good. Exercise is good. 2005-09-23
I exercised this morning.

No, really, that's a news flash. (My friend Bill said to me the other day, "You're into healthy eating and all, so how come you don't exercise?" I responded, "Bill, honey, I'm inherently lazy.")

I rode my exercise bike while watching Dr. Phil. I've decided that's the only way I can justify watching that show or Ellen or Oprah - by exercising while I'm doing it. Here's the rub, though - the bike is upstairs and the DVR is downstairs therefore I had to watch Dr. Phil in real time with commercials (I know!). So now I have a new agenda item - get DVR upstairs. We already pay for the service plus an extra buck or so a month for the DVR box. I'm thinking we can return the regular cable box we have upstairs and upgrade it to a DVR box for maybe $2 more a month. I'm not anxious to up any of our monthly expenses, so I'm going to exercise 'live' for a week or so first to prove myself worthy of the luxury.

I want an exercise routine to lead to a waking up routine and a laundry routine and a writing routine. I'm completely lacking a schedule or deadlines or a time frame of any kind and things are just not getting done. I still haven't decided on my wedding album pictures or ordered any prints. I've had paint chips sitting in my hallway for two weeks. They're in the same position they were the day I brought them home from Lowe's. Things have got to change and I'm going to do it one Dr. Phil at a time.
