Another month of inactivity. I'm such a slug.

Really, no news to report. I'm still unemployed and still happily married. The company I interviewed with at the end of February didn't ask me back for a second one. So I started referring to them as big dummies and I felt a bit better.

D did start a new job. He's doing some temporary consulting work for a company while a few of their employees are on maternity leave. Odds are it'll last through June, unless he finds a permanent or longer term gig before then.

I finally got around to officially changing my name with Social Security. Next up will be my driver's license, which I'm kind of bummed about. My current license picture is really quite good and heaven only knows how the next one will turn out.

I'm going to the Cincinnati Reds opening day game on Monday - woot! I'd expected my six year opening day streak to end this year now that I'm no longer in Cincinnati and no longer with the hook up on tix. But my friend bought tickets and ended up being out of town, so she gave them to me. D was going to go with me before he got all employed, so now I'm without a companion. I know I could find someone to go with, but I'm very tempted to just go solo. I can be on my own schedule and do whatever I want, but I know I'll feel like I'm wasting a ticket.

I really need to start writing fiction again. I honestly haven't written anything in a year and a half. And I've already scheduled myself to attend a national writer's convention in July. If I'm going to be laying out that kind of cashola, I need to have some fresh fiction to show for it. I've got over three months between now and then so there's no reason I can't complete a manuscript in that time. Hmm, really there isn't. Now I just need to give it some thought and come up with a story...
