Life has been pretty same old, same old until this week, so I figured I'd share.

Still no job nibbles for me. It's weird - I'm getting to the point where I'm almost forgetting what it's like to work 9a-6p. I've been working with Dthe last four weeks, which means I'm getting up at 4am and I am so not a morning person. Thank God for afternoon naps. I'm helpful to have along and we're enjoying working together and spending the time in each other's company. So far, so good.

Except this week has been a not good week. We were all set to blaze through the first three days of the week so we'd have off Thur-Sun. But the best laid plans, and all... On Monday morning at 4:45 am, just as we're running right on time, just two feet into our day and he hits a concrete pillar with work vehicle, bending the axle and rendering it unusable. There went our day and our week. We're still off tomorrow, but we had to change our plans for Thanksgiving and come home tomorrow night instead of staying until Friday. Which sucks, because my entire family will be at my brother's in Cincinnati so I won't get to visit with them as long.

And to top it all off, D started feeling icky on Monday and yesterday was just miserable, with a fever, chills and achiness. He's a bit better today, but still has all the same symptoms. And me? I was heading downstairs yesterday evening with an empty cup in one hand and a half full cup of water in the other so I could bring him some fresh water. I placed my socked foot on the top hardwood stair, slipped and proceeded to bump all the way down the next fourteen on my ass.

It scared the heck out of me, but I was so lucky to not really be hurt. I have a softball sized knot/bruise on my back - below my waist, above my ass) that is not to be believed. It's a dark purple that's bigger than my fist. My wrists are scraped up and bruised as well and my right shoulder is tweaked, but again, I'm very lucky.

I started decorating for Christmas and things are looking pretty. I think when I'm done, I'll take some pictures! And post them! Whee, wild woman!
