I tried on my wedding dress yesterday after the alterations. It's so pretty! Yay!

I didn't get to bring it home because she hadn't shortened the slip yet, but my future mother-in-law should be able to get it next weekend and drop it off for cleaning and pressing at the dry cleaners.

During our day of errands, we went to Bed, Bath & Beyond with the intention of registering. But I couldn't do it. I'm finding it downright painful to put a list together of things that people should buy for us. I'd rather just buy the things we need for ourselves and be done with it. This whole registering thing feels like a silly dance that I don't have the desire to engage in. Ugh. Really, I couldn't do it and felt like a failure. D must think I'm all sorts of whack, but he didn't say so. He just hugged me when I buried my head in his chest. When I told my mom, she said, "YOU HAVE TO REGISTER. YOU HAVE TO REGISTER. YOU HAVE TO." (Seriously, direct quote.) So I'm hoping I can squeeze in a trip to Lazarus this week and come up with some items there. I know I can find the towels I want there, but beyond that, I'm clueless. Gah.

One other wedding thing I haven't done one lick about is ceremony music. D's aunt's husband is apparently quite a good pianist and singer so I've had him in the back of my mind, but have done nothing about asking him or deciding on music. There isn't a piano in the chapel, which is what I wanted. There's only a keyboard, which I don't like. We can use recorded music but I fear it'll sound cheesy. Also, who would be in charge of it? Sigh.

With less than two hours to go in his 14 day inspection window, the buyer finally faxed to my agent the changes he wants made to the house. I'm thinking I won't be doing two of them, but I really don't know much about what he's asking. So I've got to add that to my plate asap. I'm so tempted to just say shove it, but I'm trying to be open-minded. We'll see how long that lasts.
