People, I sold my house!

I went back and forth with this guy and once he offered over my magic number, I sealed the deal. We close on August 30 and he gets possession that day, so I'll take some time off and move the week of August 23. I haven't heard anything about the inspection yet, but once that's out of the way, things will get very busy (as if they weren't already).

Oh, and today? August 4? One month until the wedding. Wow.

We got more stuff done this past weekend - picked up D's ring, bought the cake, bought his suit and left it for alterations, and I took my dress for alterations. We also finished painting his bathroom and bought and assembled a new storage cabinet for it as well. It looks awesome! Very clean and summer cottage-looking with celery greens walls and ceiling with white wainscotting and trim.

My to do list still includes finding a hair salon for three of us on the wedding day, picking out and buying my ring, my mom deciding on the hotel and florist, and (most pressing) getting out the invitations this week. I'll probably be staying late at work tomorrow night to print them out on the laser printer. Maybe I'll spend my afternoon laying them out and deciding on verbiage. Because it's not like I want to work or anything.

I'm really quite ready to leave here. I'd love to give two weeks notice and just be done. But we've already agreed on this transition process and unless I have another job to go right to, my leaving would be seen in a bad light and I want it all to end very well. Because you never know how things go around and come around and I could work for this company again some day. And hopefully even sooner, be a client.

Well, I'm off to spend the next 45 minutes before my 3:00 pm conference call on all things wedding. Whee.
