A lovely weekend that, again, went by entirely too fast.

Friday night was a friend's bachelorette party at a local gambling boat. I enjoy gambling but just can't win, dammit. I had fun and did okay playing blackjack then lost half my money at craps in less than two minutes. Two minutes!

Overall, I think too cautious, and I don't think positively. My friends who win *expect* to win. I tell everyone I'm going to lose all my money at the boat. And I basically do. It's time to overhaul that attitude.

D came down on Saturday. We hung out at my house then had a very tasty dinner at a Thai restaurant in my neighborhood before meeting my friend Laurie and her boyfriend for drinks and basketball watching. Our Sunday plan for 9:30 am church was foiled by my failure to remember "spring ahead" so we did the 11:00 am service instead. After meeting two other friends for lunch and taking a little nappy nap, he took off for home and I accomplished a number of tasks - laundry, bill paying, button sewing, etc.

And today? Today is Opening Day! In Cincinnati, it's nearly a holiday. The Opening Day parade should be starting soon and all manner of people will be flooding downtown for the festivities. And I? I have tickets for the game - right behind home plate! Woo! My sister-in-law is my date and we shall have a rockin' good time.
