Last night, D was completely wiped out by 10:30 pm. He'd been up since at least 4:00 a.m., so I sent him off to bed and, after some web surfing, followed at about midnight. When I crawled in next to him, he was splayed out in the middle, so I said, "Hi, sweetie," to wake him up and move him in a nice way (shoving would have been my next option). He stirred a bit, inhaled and said, "Hi, sexy." As I settled under the covers, he rolled toward the opposite side of the bed and murmured, "Marry me."

My heart skipped. I rolled toward him and hugged him from behind. Pressing a kiss against his back, I whispered, "Absolutely."
